The museum aims to:

• to protect, promote and preserve the artefacts in its collection
• to promote study and research in the field of arts, architecture, literature, etc. for the benefit of the scholars, academics and public at large
• to exhibit the artefacts of the past for the visitors (both domestic and international) to make them aware of the heritage, history and culture of the past
• to promote and patronize varied art and crafts of the medieval Jaipur
